A Touch of History
Guatiza has a quiet charm with an interesting past. The original village was once located on a hill near the current cemetery. Due to frequent raids in earlier centuries, especially by Moors, villagers moved further inland to what we now call Guatiza for safety. That’s why the village has a slightly tucked-away and peaceful vibe, perfect for relaxing walks and quiet discovery.
