Know Your Worth

Β· Lifestyle Team
Have you ever had one of those days where you just feel... meh about yourself? Like nothing you do is enough? Yep, I've been there too. Actually, more times than I can count. Today, I want to share my real story and the exact ways I've slowly learned to boost my self-worth β from my everyday life, not a self-help book.
This one's for all of us who've doubted ourselves β let's talk, heart to heart.
π I Used to Measure Myself by Others
I'd scroll through social media and feel like everyone else had it figured out. New jobs, perfect skin, traveling the world. Meanwhile, I was in my pajamas wondering if I was doing anything right.
Then it hit me β I was playing a game I could never win. Because someone else's highlight reel should never be my measuring stick. So I muted accounts that made me feel βless thanβ and followed people who inspired, not pressured me.
π I Started Writing Down My Small Wins
We're so quick to notice what's missing, but not what we've done. I started a note on my phone called βTiny Winsβ and wrote things like:
Woke up early π
Sent that scary email β
Didn't cancel plans even though I wanted to π
After a few weeks, I noticed I was building trust with myself again. I wasn't lazy β I was doing my best.
π―ββοΈ I Got Honest with My People
Talking it out helped more than I thought. I told a close friend, βI don't feel good about myself lately.β She didn't try to fix it β she just listened. And reminded me of all the good things I tend to forget.
Sometimes, the people around us see our worth way before we do. Let them remind you.
π§ I Stopped Tying My Worth to Productivity
This one was hard. I used to think if I didn't achieve something that day, I was useless. But truth is β resting, laughing, even doing βnothingβ has value too.
Now I ask myself: βIf I were my best friend, would I still think I'm not enough today?β Usually, the answer is no.
π Daily Reminders Helped Me Shift My Mindset
Every morning, I set a phone reminder that pops up saying:
βYou are enough. Just as you are.β
Some days I believe it. Some days I don't. But the more I see it, the more it sticks.
π¬ Final Thought β You're Already Worthy
Lykkers, if no one told you today β you're already enough. Not when you get a raise, not when you lose weight, not when you do more. Right now, as you read this.
I'm still learning too. But every time we choose to be kind to ourselves, we're one step closer.
What's one thing you love about yourself today? Tell me in the comments β I really want to know π¬π
